Gas & Go: February’s Community Challenge

Gas & Go is Safe Roads Challenge’s most recent community challenge. Throughout February, we’re celebrating the everyday stops and routines. From getting gas, coffee, snacks, and more, these stops fuel our trips and commutes.

In addition to celebrating the everyday, we’re encouraging drivers to reflect on their ecological footprint with weekly eco-oriented Skill Challenges. From speed, acceleration, eco, to brake skills, SRC drivers are encouraged to earn a score of 80+ in each skill to enter to win– practicing mindful driving and forming habits while working towards a goal. With 15 winners receiving $10 prizes every week, drivers can treat themselves while improving their eco-habits.

This Gas & Go Challenge also utilizes our Badge and Zone feature. App users can collect Drive Zone pins located at gas stations and quick-stop locations (like car washes and oil change spots) for a chance to win a $25 gift card of their choice. This app feature is extremely versatile with a variety of Zones to choose from: Community Safety, Shop, Food, sponsored, and seasonal. Collecting 25 of these pins also earns you a Badge, gamifying the driving experience while encouraging drivers to engage with and recognize these Zones.

Ranging from theme, dates, app features, and media platforms, these community challenges are dynamic and accommodating. While our previous month’s theme Go for Your Goals focused on 2026 goals and resolutions, Gas & Go is more precise in theme and location.

From visuals, gift cards, challenges and contests, SRC’s community challenge can be broad or specific. These challenges create engagement with the drivers in your community, allowing your SRC challenge to highlight areas that need community support while aligning your brand with a good cause and enforcing positive driving habits.
