2026 Hawai’i Safe Roads Challenge Grand Prize Contest rules (the “HSRCGP Rules”)

The Hawai’i Safe Roads Challenge Grand Prize contest (the “HSRCGP Contest”) is hosted by Medidas Digital Inc. (“Medidas”) and sponsored by First Insurance Company of Hawai’i and shall be governed by the Safe Roads Challenge Reward Program Terms and Conditions (the “Reward Terms”).

Note: No purchase is required to earn an entry into the HSRCGP contest.

ELIGIBILITY:

The Contest is open to eligible and active Safe Roads Challenge mobile app (the “App”) account holders that have a valid license to drive an automobile in the State of Hawai’i (the “Users”) and who meet the account criteria, and hereby agree to be bound by these HSRCGP Rules, the Safe Roads Challenge Terms of Use (the “SRC Terms”) and the Reward Terms (the “SRC Reward Terms”) (hereby the “HSRCGP Participants”). HSRCGP Participants will also have to log into, and access, their Safe Roads Challenge account in order to view entries and be eligible to participate.

CONTEST PERIOD:

Unless otherwise indicated in these HSRCGP Rules, the 2025 HSRCGP Contest runs from January 1, 2026, at 12:00 A.M. Hawai’i Standard Time (HST) to December 15, 2026, at 11:59 P.M. HST (the “HSRCGP Contest Period”).

ENTRIES:

HSRCGP Participants can earn one entry into the HSRCGP Contest by successfully recording an average overall Trip Score of 80 or higher each day during the Contest Period from 12:01 AM to 11:59 PM Hawai’i Standard Time. In order to calculate daily average Trip Score, HSRCGP Participants are required to select Driver or Passenger and claim trips on the Trips page of the App. Scores and entries will be displayed in the Safe Roads Challenge app along with other tools to help HSRCGP Participants monitor and improve their driving scores. There is no limit to the number of entries a HSRCGP Participant can receive during the HSRCGP Contest Period subject to the rules surrounding earning entries. There is no limit to the total number of entries received during each HSRCGP Contest Period and is solely dependent on the number of eligible daily average Trip Scores successfully recorded by HSRCGP Participants. Odds of winning the prize will vary depending on the number of entries earned in the HSRCGP Contest Period.

PRIZE:

The randomly selected winner will be asked to choose one number between 1 and 100.  The number chosen will correspond to a sealed security envelope that will contain a prize-winning message that will determine the grand prize awarded to the winner of the HSRCGP Contest. The set of exactly ONE HUNDRED (100) sealed security envelopes, prepared by the Administrator of the HSRCGP Contest, will consist of exactly ONE (1) envelope containing a $100,000 prize-winning message, exactly FIVE (5) envelopes containing a $1000 gift card prize-winning message, exactly TEN (10) envelopes containing a $750 gift card prize-winning message, exactly TWENTY (20) envelopes containing a $500 gift card prize-winning message and exactly SIXTY-FOUR (64) envelopes containing a $250 gift card prize-winning message.

SELECTION OF WINNER:

One prize will be awarded to a winner that will be randomly selected from all HSRCGP Participant entries received during the HSRCGP Contest Period as described herein and notified by email, SMS, or through the App’s inbox. The appropriate sections found within the Reward Terms will govern selection of, and notification to, the Winner. If no entries are received during the HSRCGP Contest Period, Medidas will not award a Prize for that period.

Proof of active driver’s license, identification and legal guardian consent for eligible winners under the legal age of minority in Hawai’i will be required prior to award of prize.  Medidas retains the right to draw an alternative winner should the eligibility requirements of the winner not comply with the HSRCGP Contest Rules.

DISTRIBUTION OF PRIZE:

The winning contestant selects one (1) and only one envelope from the set of one hundred (100) envelopes, and if (i) the envelope selected by a contestant contains the $100,000 prize-winning message, and if (ii) the contestant has complied with the terms and conditions of the HSRCGP Contest, Medidas will transfer the prize to the winner after receiving funds from the Administrator. For all other prize-winning messages, if the contestant has complied with the terms and conditions of the HSRCGP Contest, Medidas will send the winner instructions to claim their prize based on the prize-winning message contained in the chosen envelope.

Medidas must visually record the selection and opening of the selected envelope through a Zoom call or, where applicable, in person, and visually recorded, each attempt and such recording must be continuous and must clearly show the winner, or a selected representative opening one (1) envelope from his/her designated set of envelopes, the contents of such envelope, and Medidas opening the remaining envelopes in the set for verification purposes in the presence of an official representative of the Administrator.

CANCELLATION OR MODIFICATION:

Medidas Digital reserves the right to cancel, modify, or suspend the HSRCGP Contest at their discretion in the event of unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to acts of nature, force majeure, technical malfunctions, or any situation that could compromise the fairness, security, or integrity of the contest. In such cases, Medidas Digital will make reasonable efforts to notify participants of any changes and will not be held liable for any inconvenience, loss, or damages resulting from such alterations. Participants acknowledge and accept that Medidas Digital’s decision in this regard is final and binding.
