CONTEST PERIOD:

The Smart Driving College Challenge (the “Contest”) starts on January 27, 2025, at 12:00 A.M. Eastern Standard Time (EST) and ends on March 9, 2025, at 11:59 P.M. EST (the “Contest Period”). The Contest is being sponsored by the Florida Department of Transportation District 5 (“FDOT D5”) and Volusia-Flagler Transportation Planning Organization (“TPO”) and operated by Medidas Digital Inc. (“Medidas”) and shall be governed by the Safe Roads Challenge Reward Program Terms and Conditions (the “Reward Terms”). 

Note: No purchase is required to earn an entry into the Contest.

ELIGIBILITY:

The Contest is open to eligible and active Safe Roads Challenge mobile app (the “App”) account holders that are currently enrolled in one of the following schools: Bethune-Cookman University, Daytona State College, Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, or Stetson University (each a “Participating School”) and have a license to drive an automobile (the “Users”) and meet the account criteria and hereby agree to be bound by these Rules, the Safe Roads Challenge Terms of Use (the “Safe Roads Challenge Terms”) and the Reward Terms (the “Participants”). Participants will be required to use a custom code (the “Join Code”) to join their Participating School team and will also have to log into, and access, the Safe Roads Challenge Portal to view entries and be eligible to participate.

ENTRIES:

Participants can earn one entry per challenge as defined below in the Challenge and Prize Schedule (the “Challenges”), per day from 12:00 A.M. to 11:59 P.M. EST by successfully recording a daily average driver score (the “Score”) that meets the minimum required Score set by each Challenge. To earn a driver score, the participant must record trips in the Safe Roads Challenge app and claim them as “Driver” to formulate their Score. See below in the Challenge Schedule for details regarding the time periods and minimum Score required in each Challenge to gain an entry. Entries earned will be displayed in the Safe Roads Challenge Portal along with other tools to help Participants monitor and improve their driving scores. There is no limit to the total number of participants and entries received during each Contest Period and is solely dependent on the number of eligible Scores successfully recorded by the Participants. Odds of winning a prize will vary depending on the number of entries earned during the Contest Period.

PRIZES AVAILABLE:

The first 300 eligible Participants from each School to join their respective team code will receive a $10 gift card from the eligible gift cards available from the official redemption site. Sign up bonus gift cards will be sent once per day until the limit is reached. All other prizes will be awarded based on the Challenge and Prize Schedule below.

CHALLENGE AND PRIZE SCHEDULE

SELECTION OF WINNERS:

Winners will be randomly selected from all Participant entries received during the Contest Period and notified through the App’s inbox and by email.  The appropriate sections found within the Reward Terms will govern selection of, and notification to, each Winner.  If not enough entries are received during the Contest Period, prizes will only be awarded for each unique entry received. Proof of active driver’s license, identification and legal guardian consent for eligible winners under the legal age of minority in their state of residency may be required prior to award of prize.

CANCELLATION OR MODIFICATION:

FDOT D5, TPO and Medidas Digital reserve the right to cancel, modify, or suspend the Contest at their discretion in the event of unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to acts of nature, force majeure, technical malfunctions, or any situation that could compromise the fairness, security, or integrity of the Contest. In such cases, FDOT D5, TPO and Medidas Digital will make reasonable efforts to notify Participants of any changes and will not be held liable for any inconvenience, loss, or damages resulting from such alterations. Participants acknowledge and accept that FDOT D5, TPO and Medidas Digital’s decision in this regard is final and binding.
