Grand Prize Contest Terms and Conditions

FCCLA Safe Roads Challenge Grand Prize Contest (the “FCCLAGP Rules”)

The FCCLA Safe Roads Challenge Grand Prize contest (the “FCCLAGP Contest”) is held by Medidas Digital Inc. (“Medidas”), presented by Family, Career and Community Leaders of America, Inc. (“FCCLA or Host”), and shall be governed by the FCCLA and TrypScore Reward Program Terms and Conditions (the “Reward Terms”).

Note: No purchase is required to earn an entry into the FCCLAGP contest.

ELIGIBILITY:

The Contest is open to eligible and active TrypScore mobile app (the “App”) account holders that are nationally affiliated members of FCCLA and have a license to drive an automobile (the “Users”) who meet the account criteria and hereby agree to be bound by these FCCLAGP Rules, the TrypScore Terms of Use (the “TrypScore Terms”) and the Reward Terms (the “FCCLAGP Participants”). FCCLAGP Participants will also have to log into, and access, the FCCLA Safe Roads Portal in order to view entries and be eligible to participate.

CONTEST PERIOD:

Unless otherwise indicated in these FCCLAGP Rules, the 2023-2024 FCCLAGP Contest runs from January 3, 2024, at 12:00 A.M. Mountain Standard Time (MST) to March 31, 2024, at 11:59 P.M. MST (the “FCCLAGP Contest Period”).

ENTRIES:

FCCLAGP Participants can earn one entry into the FCCLAGP Contest by successfully recording an average TrypScore of over 80 each day from 12:01 AM to 11:59 PM Mountain Standard Time. Entries will be displayed in the FCCLA Safe Roads Challenge Portal along with other tools to help FCCLAGP Participants monitor and improve their driving scores. There is no limit to the number of entries an FCCLAGP Participant can receive during the FCCLAGP Contest Period subject to the rules surrounding earning entries. There is no limit to the total number of entries received during each FCCLAGP Contest Period and is solely dependent on the number of average safe driving scores successfully recorded by FCCLAGP Participants. Odds of winning the prize will vary depending on the number of entries earned in the FCCLAGP Contest Period.

PRIZE:

Two (2) grand prizes will be granted to distinct FCCLA Participants in accordance with the criteria specified in the “Selection of Winner” section. Each awardee will receive a $2,500 cash prize designated to facilitate an all-inclusive trip to the FCCLA National Leadership Conference, scheduled to take place in Seattle, Washington from June 29 to July 3, 2024. The grand prize is non-transferable and is intended exclusively for the winner’s use to cover expenses related to conference registration, Competitive Event registration, Special Event registration, accommodations, airfare, meals, and other essential costs associated with attendance at the 2024 National Leadership Conference.

 

SELECTION OF WINNER:

One prize (Prize 1) will be awarded to the FCCLA Participant who meets the eligibility criteria and has the highest overall average score during the FCCLAGP Contest Period. User data collected through the TrypScore app will not be distributed or sold to any third-party partners or sponsors. Scores are calculated based on information collected from the TrypScore mobile application and FCCLA Safe Roads Portal. The scores are calculated to an infinite number of decimals, in the case of a tie, one of the tied FCCLA Participants will be randomly drawn from a digital generator and witnessed by FCCLA management.

One prize (Prize 2) will be awarded to a winner that will be randomly selected from all FCCLAGP Participant entries received during the FCCLAGP Contest Period as described herein and notified by email, SMS, or through the App’s inbox. The appropriate sections found within the Reward Terms will govern selection of, and notification to, the Winner. If no entries are received during the FCCLAGP Contest Period, Medidas will not award a Prize for that period.

Proof of active driver’s license, identification and legal guardian consent for eligible winners under the legal age of minority in their state of residency will be required prior to award of prize.

DISTRIBUTION OF PRIZE:

Upon the identification of the two (2) prize winners, each recipient is obligated to sign an agreement confirming their commitment to attend the 2024 National Leadership Conference in Seattle, WA, upon receipt of the award funds. This agreement necessitates signatures from the student, chapter adviser, school principal, and a parent/guardian, affirming the student’s acceptance of the award and securing the necessary support/approval to participate in the conference. The selected winners must attend the conference in its entirety, from the opening session through the closing session.

Upon notification of their selection as one of the two (2) winners, the awardee must register for the National Leadership Conference by May 10. Once registration is complete, FCCLA will initiate the processing of the award funds, disbursing a $2,500 cash prize to the winner

FCCLA and Medidas Digital bear no responsibility for any additional expenses incurred should a chapter adviser or chaperone accompany the student to the conference.

In the event that a winner is unable to attend the conference, they are required to promptly return the award funds to FCCLA.

CANCELLATION OR MODIFICATION:

FCCLA and Medidas Digital reserve the right to cancel, modify, or suspend the FCCLAGP Contest at their discretion in the event of unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to acts of nature, force majeure, technical malfunctions, or any situation that could compromise the fairness, security, or integrity of the contest. In such cases, FCCLA and Medidas Digital will make reasonable efforts to notify participants of any changes and will not be held liable for any inconvenience, loss, or damages resulting from such alterations. Participants acknowledge and accept that FCCLA and Medidas Digital’s decision in this regard is final and binding.
